Helping smaller printers

1 May 2009

Baker Self Adhesive Materials is now a preferred distributor of 3M self-adhesive label materials in the UK, and will make its products available on a next day service.

The London based company will initially hold stocks of polyesters and vinyls with 3M product codes, and it plans to expand the range over the coming year. All products will be offered on a nett width basis, removing the need for minimum quantities.

David Richards, Baker’s manager, explains: “We have identified a market opportunity that will meet the needs of smaller labels printers not currently serviced directly by 3M. Our plans are to work in partnership with 3M when technical enquiries and new projects arise, and to stock and promote the most popular product grades as indicated by surveys we conducted with label printers.”

Baker Self Adhesive Materials is an official HP Indigo Treatment Centre and the official distribution centre for 3M, Fasson, Madico, Arjobex and Tyvek. The affiliated company Baker Self Adhesive Label Co prints and converts labels using flexo, letterpress and digital printing technology.
