In the USA, HarperScientific has formed a partnership with Nu Tech Coatings. HarperScientific will represent all of Nu Tech’s products, including PEC (Performance Enhancing Cylinder), a patent pending plate cylinder coating for narrow web presses that absorbs vibration. PEC is said to be guaranteed to improve print quality by reducing or removing gear marks or banding, and improving tonal range. It can be applied to existing plate cylinders.
