UK-based Hamilton Adhesive Labels is investing £500,000 in new Multi Print Systems (MPS) 8-colour UV flexo press that it expects to improve both the quality and consistency of its offer to customers. This will enable the company to exploit the growing demand for the technology from within its customer base and help it develop further into the cosmetic, toiletry and healthcare markets.
The new press is equipped with 100% camera inspection system from AB Graphic International to eradicate print errors, ensuring that customers receive the best possible product.
Chris Marsh, managing director and founder of Hamilton Adhesive Labels, says: “Now that we have it, we envisage a significant growth in orders that will enable the new press to return on its own investment very soon. The cosmetics, toiletry and healthcare markets work heavily on synthetic materials such as clear on clear substrates, polypropylene and polyethylene and our new press is ahead of its time in this area, which will provide us with a real USP for further market growth.”
Operating from a 25,000ft² facility at Bardon Hill, Hamilton currently manufactures adhesive labels primarily for the food, logistics and beverage sectors.
