Korsnäs Carry 480 g/m² has been introduced to meet customer demand for an extra strength board for heavy products and displays.
“With this high grammage, we are pushing back the limits of cartonboard packaging – with all the advantages board offers in terms of print quality, material reduction and efficient distribution – before other materials have to take over,” says Rolf Gustafsson, Korsnäs business manager for cartonboard.
Complementing the company’s Carry 425 g/m², the new weight is said to have extremely high strength properties, opening up opportunities for heavier products, integrated handles, effective openings, tearstrips and sophisticated embossing. The material’s scoring properties are also a major advantage for displays.
