The theme of this year's ERA Packaging Conference will be 'Gravure - top quality in packaging markets'. It will be held in Freiburg, Germany, on October 26-27, and the association expects 120 delegates from Europe, Turkey and beyond, representing leading packaging printers and cylinder engravers, the supply industry and the brand owners.
The presentations will focus on the latest technological advances, and on economic and packaging market developments in the EU accession countries in Eastern Europe. A highlight will be a presentation by former Aldi senior executive Dieter Brandes.
The conference will start with a visit to the main Janoschka plant in Kippenheim. A leading provider of prepress services to major printers and global brands across Europe, the facility uses state-of-the-art equipment and technology, such as direct laser systems, and produces more than 30 000 cylinders/year.
