The Austrian facility Mondi Coatings, in Hilm, has been successfully audited for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. For customers from the food, pharmaceutical and medical industries this ensures that Mondi´s liners are produced following strict hygiene guidelines, as they conform to EU legislation EC1935/2004 and EC2023/2006.
This substantially widens the product offering of the plant currently specialised in industrial release liner applications. Managing Director Franz Pehn comments: “With the processes and certificates in place we are a fully integrated partner in the food supply chain. This gives us the opportunity to serve new product segments, such as process liners for the food and medical industry.”
