Colour management systems provider GMG and Mimaki Europe, manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and cutting machines for the sign/graphics, textile/apparel and industrial markets, have formed a strategic partnership for ‘high value packaging applications’. The common solution, comprising Mimaki UJF-605 series UV inkjet printers and GMG’s ColorServer 4.6 colour management software for fully automatic colour conversions and SmartProfiler for printer calibration and profiling, is said to allow ‘for the first time’ the digital production of consistent and accurate colour results on virtually any material.
