Glue Dots SD-900 targets Europe hot melt adhesive sector

22 January 2013

Said to reduce operating and maintenance costs, the SD-900 is engineered to be easily integrated into both new and existing automated production lines, with flexible mounting options including an optional rolling stand.

In applying Glue Dots brand adhesives, the SD-900 requires "less downtime than traditional hot melt systems", according to the US-based company.

"One of our main goals when designing the SD-900 was to incorporate application flexibility, eliminating the need for advanced programming and additional engineering," says GDI application equipment engineer Reid Moertl. "The SD-900 meets and exceeds that goal."

Features of theSD-900 include: continuous and intermittent application; up to 90ft/min product speed; feed rate up to 300 applications/min; 4-5 strokes/sec to apply dots; +/- .24cm accuracy of dot placement.
