GEW wins EDP Award
During a ceremony at the 2015 FESPA show in Cologne, the European Digital Press (EDP) Association celebrated the winners of their 8th EDP Awards attributing GEW the trophy for "Best print support tool" for the LW1 LED UV-lamphead.
GEW's LW1 lamphead with LED technology is the most powerful UV-curing system for printing and coating applications currently available. In combination with the RHINO electronic power supply LED arrays can attain peaks of 22W/cm² while at the same time achieving life cycles of over 20,000 hours (about 7 to 10 times longer than GEW arc lamps with 2 to 3,000 hours).
