GEW to introduce wider UV options

17 October 2008

GEW will feature its energy efficient range of UV lamp heads at India Label Show, to be held from December 3 - 6, 2008.

Exhibiting on Stand C7, GEW will also introduce IsoCure, a UV curing system for wide web printing and converting applications.

IsoCure is a fully water cooled UV curing system designed for medium and wide formats in arc lengths from 50 cm up to 2 m. Optimised for high performance UV curing of inks, varnishes, coatings, silicone release and hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives, the sysyem can also be supplied with GEW’s inert atmosphere technology for higher operating speeds and applications such as food packaging where there is a need to displace oxygen from the curing zone.

GEW has replaced conventional power supplies with its ‘energy efficient electronic’ e-Brick system. Comparable benefits are said to be a 30 per cent reduction in electricity costs and reduced carbon emissions.
