FutureMark upgrades Future Label sustainable packaging solution

6 January 2014

US-based FutureMark Paper Group has announced a number of enhancements to Future Label, its coated one sided (C1S) label product with high-recycled content (>85 percent).

According to the responsibly sourced paper specialist, the changes mean that Future Label provides an environmentally friendly C1S label solution for consumer packaged goods.

Fuelled by innovations in FutureMark’s deinking process, Future Label now features:

  • a paper brightness rating of 88 and a blue-white shade
  • recycled content increased to 85% from 80%
  • greatly enhanced overall print performance due to a modified coating recipe

As a result, Future Label offers brand owners, retailers and label converters a “reliable, bright-white sheet with clean styling for superior print quality”, according to the company, North America’s leading provider of responsibly made recycled printing papers.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer this exceptional sustainable solution to leading converters and retailers who are committed to greening their businesses,” says Matt Nightingale, vice president business development, FutureMark Paper Company.

Future Label – described by FutureMark as “the industry’s only high-recycled (>85%) coated one sided (C1S) label paper” – is immediately available in (US) 55 and 60-pound basis weights.
