Fusion offers a fine finish

23 June 2011

German print finishing specialist Gräfe Druck & Veredelung is one of the first users of Fusion, Sappi’s new premium topliner said to deliver outstanding results ‘not only in the printed image, but also in the finishing’.

“Thanks to its white and smooth surface, Fusion can be finished with outstanding quality,” confirms Frank Denninghoff, a director at Gräfe. “The results and finishing properties in embossed foil printing, blind embossing and spot varnishing are excellent.”

Fusion comprises bleached primary fibres rather than GD2 materials that contain a high proportion of recycled paper. The high quality of the coating and the subsequent satinisation process are said to lend it an extremely bright white and shiny surface that surpasses other topliners.

Fusion is available in a total of four weights, from 130 to 180 g/m2.
