Front end controls workflow of digitally printed labels and packaging

27 February 2014

ProWorx, the Digital Front End (DFE) designed exclusively by Esko for the Mark Andy Digital Series of fully in-line, hybrid inkjet printing and converting technology, is claimed to allow converters "to realise the potential of the new digital label and package printing platform".

ProWorx is a 'one box' solution said to enable superior and consistent control between the Mark Andy presses and the digital file management workflows currently used by converters. It is equally suited to a large multi-press, multi-function hybrid printing environment or as a dedicated single digital press operation for a wide variety of label and packaging work.

The DFE can be easily integrated into a networked infrastructure when linked to the Esko Automation Engine, as well as others.

The Mark Andy Digital Series is a wholly configurable printing system that integrates full colour digital printing technology to meet converters' needs for fast change, web handling, in-line converting and other label and package decoration options.
