Glue Dots International, US-based manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesive patterns, is offering a new free video trial service for its SD-900 adhesive applicator in the European market.
Introduced in Europe in January, the SD-900 is a fully automated, inline adhesive applicator engineered to quickly, cleanly, and easily apply Glue Dots Brand Adhesives. Claimed to be competitively priced against most hotmelt systems, it is said to reduce operating and maintenance costs by eliminating waste and cleaning, while increasing operator safety by eliminating the risk of burn injuries.
The free video trial service allows customers to confirm the automated application process of the SD-900 without having to invest in the financial risk associated with implementing an automated system.
"It provides our customers with a realistic ROI without committing to an upfront investment in the process," explains John Henderson, European group managing director.
The video trial provides every customer with direct access to a dedicated team to manage the trial from development through to completion. Upon completion, the finished products will be returned to the customer for inspection together with a detailed written report and video confirming the adhesive application used.
The SD-900 is capable of both continuous and intermittent application at up to 90ft/ min. Feed rate is up to 300 applications per minute, at 4-5 strokes/sec to apply dots to a claimed accuracy of dot within 0.24cm
