In the UK, API Laminates has launched a series of free consultancy forums to demonstrate how companies can make their packaging more environmentally friendly. The sessions have already been successful with a number of leading European cosmetic, tobacco and multimedia brands, the company states.
API’s range of environmental solutions for customers who require a metallised effect board includes Verdi, a film-free metallised product, and PortoBio, a silver metallised laminate board that uses only natural cellulose based materials, is compostable, can be recycled, and is manufactured under an exclusive global agreement. PortoBio has been specified by Marks and Spencer, one of API's long standing clients.
