Beijing Founder Electronics has released version 4.0 of its EagleRIP software. It is also launching the first version of its EasiPrint digital front end for HP indigo presses. The new EagleRIP includes the latest native PDF interpreter; a dot gain capability that supports both the intended and actual press curve; improved colour management; and in-RIP vector trapping.
In addition, for output to wide format plotters, as well as to generally optimize media usage, EagleRIP is said to provide powerful automatic and manual ganging features. Nine built-in screen shapes (Euclidean Round, Rhomb, Ellipse, Diamond, Pure Round, Sharp Ellipse, Square, Cross and FM screening) “cater for very high quality for almost all types of output and materials”. EagleAGS screening is optionally available for gravure printing.
Part of Founder’s partnership with HP announced at IPEX, the first version of EasiPrint DFE for HP Indigo presses offers a “simple to use”, icon driven front end workflow; and adds the ability of Indigo 1050 digital presses to accept the latest file formats – as well as variable data.
