Flint inks site for India

10 December 2010

The Flint Group is building a new state-of-the-art manufacturing site for packaging and narrow web inks in Savli, India, to supply the country’s rapidly growing packaging industry.

Upal Roy, General Manager Flint Group India, comments: “We already have an ISO 9001-2000 certified mother plant for packaging inks in Bangalore and blending units in Baroda, Noida and Savli, supported by depots at Pondicherry, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai. “Our new plant in Savli will meet European standards on processes and safety. It will consist of separate areas for the manufacturing of water-based, toluene-based and toluene-free solvent-based inks.”

With the expansion of its packaging inks manufacturing operations in Poland and the acquisition of Torda, this is another important investment in a growth region for Flint’s Packaging and Narrow Web division.
