Flint Group Flexographic Products exhibits at SDW 2016 in London

The organisers of the SDW (Security Document World) exhibition celebrated the 10th anniversary of this highly important international event for technology suppliers, security document printers, infrastructure providers and integrators in the fast-moving security document market place. More than 130 exhibitors and 1,800 visitors from 74 nations participated in the conference, which took place in Westminster, London once again.

The main focus of the three-day conference was networking amongst the industry's top movers from governmental and industry sectors for document security, e-passports, visas, driving licences, national IDs, worker credentials, advanced border control, anti-counterfeiting, fraud detection, and much more. Meanwhile, the SDW conference and exhibition has become one of the world’s largest gatherings of experts, end users and renowned speakers in this particular industry sector.

 

As an exhibitor, Flint Group Flexographic Products used the possibility to showcase their extensive plate portfolio for security and banknote printing as well as the latest generation of processing equipment. A highlight and focus of the demonstration was the nyloprint WS W Digital letterpress plate, which displays improved reproduction characteristics for the printing of the finest micro-text and guilloche patterns. Especially in combination with the nyloprint NExT exposure technology, which is based on the latest generation of UV-A LEDs, it enables improved reproducibility and further reduction of production tolerances.

 

For coating applications, there was a great customer interest in the water washable nyloprint WA 116 S and WA 116 S Digital plates, which enable the security printer to produce their coating plates in-house instead of sourcing them from external suppliers.
