At a recent forum in Chicago, Flint Group Printing Plates presented its new nyloflex infinity sleeve technology which, it is claimed, will allow tradeshops to produce seamless polymer sleeves in-house and just-in-time. Other topics at the event included global trends in the flexo market, optimum printing plate and cushion tape combinations, and the actual status of laser engraving.
The forum also provided a series of interactive focus group discussions on the state of the industry and the challenges that tradeshops face in the future of flexo printing. Flint says these discussions brought about many interesting issues that it can examine further as it continues to develop tools to assist tradeshops in gaining flexo market share.
