Flexo first in Slovenia

25 November 2005

Italian press manufacturer Gidue has supplied its first F-Combat film UV flexo press in Slovenia to Slovenska Bistrica based Fleksotisk Logar. The six colour machine is equipped with a GEW NUVA-plus UV system with integrated chill rollers for heat management.

A family owned company established in 1987, Fleksotisk Logar prints for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food label markets, on aluminium foil down to 20 micron thickness, paper and PP films, PET film down to 30 micron, as well as on a range of self adhesive substrates. It also supplies self adhesive labels for automatic and manual product labelling.

Production and quality manager Silvo Malovrh says: "The Gidue press is truly operator friendly. The Flower print head allows fast job changes and the press gives us consistently high quality and productivity - and is very well suited for short run work. The NUVA-plus UV system is a must for the kind of work we are producing," he adds.

Gidue managing director Federico d'Annunzio comments: "We see Eastern Europe as a strong growth sector for the web-fed flexo printing and converting industry and we plan to be in the forefront of that growth".
