Flexible learning aims at packaging perfection

6 August 2003

The Institute of Packaging has restructured its Diploma in Packaging Technology. Covering a broad base of packaging knowledge, the new style course provides an opportunity to study the principles of packaging, packaging materials, packaging processes and packaging development. Unlike the old style qualification, it now offers flexible study methods: students can work towards a complete qualification or just study individual modules. They will now study over three, five-day sessions, providing more time to digest information.

Gordon Stewart, head of education, training and development, says: "Success in the diploma prepares students for progression to a position where they can assume responsibility for packaging in a company at any point in the supply chain."
