Label industry association FINAT’s Young Managers Club (YMC) will hold its first ever Global YMC Congress, open to both YMC members and non-members, in Berlin, Germany, on 28-30 November 2012 .
Since its origin in 2009, FINAT’s YMC for industry managers under 40 has expanded significantly on its initial focus of succession planning within the many industry SMEs. It has run several successful meetings and workshops, which has led to the idea to organise a first global congress .
"We are pleased to see the progress we have made in our global approach by collaborating with our colleagues from LMAI in India, TLMI in US and VskE in Germany - the hosting association/country of this very first edition," says Francesc Egea of IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, Spain and chairman of YMC. “To date we have attracted 63 members from across the globe. They represent a mix of managers from local family run businesses, but also middle and higher level managers from larger label converters and suppliers alike.”
Under the umbrella ‘Young Managers, let's challenge the future’, the congress will provide workshops and presentations on a broad variety of topics.
