At Interpack 2014, Kama launched the DC 76 Foil diecutting and finishing machine with "groundbreaking developments" for the needs of the digital workflow - the AutoRegister and the SBU tool-less stripping and blanking unit.
The compact system provides diecutting, creasing and embossing for digitally printed or cut sheets at high registration accuracy, and delivers 100% separated blanks free of hanger holes and small windows to the delivery unit, ready for stacking. Stripping and blanking is fully tool-less with the "cost saving" SBU unit, which denests and spreads out the separated blanks, then delivers them in up to four parallel streams to the delivery unit.
Kama says the workflow is ideal for high quality finishing of short to medium digital print runs.
