FFTA forum aims to please

10 March 2003

The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association says it is aiming to "reach new heights" at its Annual Forum and InfoFlex Exhibition, during May 4-7 in Salt Lake City, USA.

"We decided we would make a real effort to find out what our customers want from the programme content," says Paul Lancelle. "Several changes in the format are being designed for Forum 2003. Many of these are a direct result of feedback received from past Forum attendees."

An Inks and Coating session has been added, and the Folding Carton session has been renamed Paperboard to broaden its target audience. Also new will be the Fundamentals of Flexo session, aimed at employees new to the industry, and to sharpen the skills of veterans.

It is also planned that the sessions will feature more audience/panel interaction. A print competition will form part of the Corrugated/Preprint session - comparing flexo to offset, with actual print samples to be passed out to the audience for critique and comment.
