Faster printing from Domino’s latest

3 October 2013

Domino's new N610i digital colour UV curable inkjet label press includes the ability to print opaque white ink, while its i-Tech intelligent technology is said to maximise production efficiencies, provide extended colour capabilities and deliver the highest quality print resolution.

The new opaque digital white ink, specifically formulated by Domino to run with the press, delivers "a silkscreen-like finish", and provides high opacity white when printing at 50m/min. At up to 75m/min with a 600dpi native resolution, the N610i is also claimed to offer twice the print speed of most high resolution digital systems.

The new machine incorporates a range of Domino's i-Tech intelligent Technology productivity-enhancing smart features, including the CleanCap automated printhead cleaning and capping station, and the ActiFlow ink circulation system. Precision alignment is optimised by the Kyocera KJ4 jetting assemblies, which incorporate head stitching technology for seamless overlapping. It is further enhanced with the use of Domino's StitchLink micro-motor controller technology, which maintains precise head alignment.

All N610i models are driven by an Esko digital front end for seamless integration in to existing customer workflows, and are available in reel-to-reel as well as reel-to-finishing line configurations.
