Fast flexo press from Uteco Group at drupa

25 March 2008

The focal point of the Uteco Group’s booth at drupa 2008 will be the Diamond HP 808 high speed flexo press, which is said to print at up to 500m/min.

The machines has a new, tool-less pneumatically suspended chamber doctor blades and offers advantages such as P2P - the automatic correction of printing pressure at print speed change, and IDP or

Ink-Deck Presetting, that allows automatic setting of register and printing pressure at job start-up.

At drupa 2008, the Diamond will be demonstrated printing high resolution images on film for flexible packaging with water based inks and using both photopolymer plates and engraved sleeves.

Two gravure units will be displayed on Uteco’s drupa stand. One unit, the Q-Press model, comes with direct drive electronic lineshaft, fully automatic on-board washing system, and Uteco's ‘Smart Pack’ software package for recipe management including multi-angle doctor blade memorization.

The othe unit, the M-Press model, features direct drive of the engraved cylinder (electric shaft), job change by means of interchangeable trolleys and RotoSmartPackOD, Uteco’s engineering platform for improved performance and profitability in ‘on-demand’ gravure printing.

Uteco will be present at drupa 2008 on stand 3E04 in Hall 3.
