One of the largest flexible and speciality rigid packaging converters in the US recently installed an Autoslit II fully automatic slitter from Kampf. This machine has a top speed of 900 m/min and is equipped with automatic systems for core loading and positioning, and finished roll unloading. Knife positioning, cross-cutting and splicing are also automated.
The core loading system is fed by two magazines. The patented core positioning system is connected electronically with the automatic slitting section to position the cores precisely according to the selected slitting width. This combines very short running times with utmost precision and productivity, states Kampf.
The compact design and modular concept of the Autoslit II is said to offer many individual possibilities of optional equipment to suit customer requirements.
