Fasson adds to direct food labelling

3 May 2007

Two new products in the Avery Dennison range of Fasson Synthetic Papers have been launched for direct food labeling. Fasson Synthetic Paper 2S 110FC and Fasson Synthetic Paper 160 UCT are said to open up significant new opportunities for track-and-trace tags on moist and fatty foods. They also have tear resistance, coupled with moisture, grease and chemical resistance.

Fasson Synthetic Paper 2S 110FC is a matt white two sides clay coated, high opacity premium BOPP film. Food labelling approvals from FDA, CFR and ISEGA make it suitable for tags on meat carcasses, fresh fish on ice display slabs, and price tags under the transparent wrapping on fresh prepacked foods. It can be printed and converted using all the standard print processes and overprinted by thermal transfer, cold laser, industrial inkjet, and dot matrix.

Fasson Synthetic Paper 160 UCT is for high performance tags and labels in harsh environments, such as tyre labels and horticultural tags, but also has direct food contact approvals.
