ExxonMobil deal creates new films giant

Indian company Jindal Poly Films has acquired ExxonMobil's Global BOPP packaging films business fror an undisclosed sum. The deal includes two locations in the US and three in Europe - in Belgium, Italy, and The Netherlands. It also covers a technology centre and sales office in the US and an office in Luxembourg.

The acquisition makes Jindal one of the world's leading manufacturers of packaging films, with a combined BOPP capacity of 445,000t/annum.
