New high barrier NatureFlex biodegradable and compostable cellulose based packaging films from Innovia include a lustrous metallised version – NatureFlex NKM; a range of brightly coloured films – NatureFlex NKC and a solid white film – NatureFlex NK White. All these films provide an excellent barrier to moisture, a good barrier to gases and aromas and have a wide heat-seal range.
Derived from renewable resources, these films are certified to European EN 13432 and American ASTM D6400 composting norms. In addition, they have been confirmed as suitable for emerging 'waste to energy' techniques such as anaerobic digestion, aiding the diversion of organic wastes from landfill.
They also offer advantages for packing and converting such as inherent deadfold and anti-static properties, high gloss and they are resistant to grease and oil.
