In the USA, a new Evolution 3-layer blown film line from Reifenhäuser Kiefel Extrusion is to be installed in the Thomasville, North Carolina, facility of flexible packaging converter Exopack.
The new film line will enable Exopack to meet the ‘ever increasing’ need for high quality retail bags. It is equipped with the latest cooling technology and auto-profile system.
Reifenhäuser Kiefel developed the new Evolution control system with a large touchscreen for simple operation, to reduce changeover times and minimise waste, and to provide assistance for maintenance and troubleshooting.
The line is equipped with a W-S surface winder that offers precision tuning capabilities for extremely low winding tensions and lay-on pressures. It can wind even thick and rigid film rolls up to 1,500mm OD with optimum results.
