KPG has extended the web widths of its Euroflex packaging press range to include a 520mm version. As with the existing 260 and 400mm web widths, the new wider press is available for dual and single-pass production, using a single central impression drum.
In addition to the existing range of machines with UV curing, KPG Europe is now able to supply presses configured with hot air drying and IR systems. Manufactured to meet ATEX approved standards, they are suitable for use with solvent, alcohol and water-based inks.
Fitted with air drying or a combined air/IR and UV curing designed by KPG partner Deutsche Mechatronics, it is now possible to use different types of ink on the one press. An interchangeable slide-in cartridge system makes it possible to change from one system to another within 30min.
Euroflex packaging presses can be specified for label production, printing ABL/PBL tube barrier laminates, films, casings and polybags. With the appropriate configuration, all these applications can be handled by a single Euroflex.
