ETI launch new coating head
ETI Converting Equipment, a globally innovative manufacturer of in-line coating and printing equipment, has recently developed a new coating head capable of applying as little as 12 grams (½ mil) of UV hotmelt adhesive, as well as 9 grams of regular hotmelt, on 520 mm (20 ½") width at 150m/min (500 ft/min). This new coating head gives a perfect clear/clear label without any marks or stripes.
This success will have a real impact on printers’ margins since substantial savings could be achieved on both adhesives, particularly on the UV hotmelt which is much more expensive.
ETI already succeeded in applying 22 gsm of UV hotmelt adhesive at 150 m/min. However, by reducing significantly the grammage during the manufacturing process with its new coating head, ETI is giving its customers the chance to be one step ahead.
Printers and visitors were invited to visit the ETI booth and meet the team to have more information on all the ETI products, 7A31 in Hall 7 at Labelexpo Europe from September the 25th to the 28th. Demonstrations of the Mini-Cohesio were held daily, every hour.
