Flexico has produced two ‘eco-friendly’ closing systems: Biozip, which is fully compostable, conforms to EN 13432, and can be sealed to similar material; and Naturezip, made from plant-based material that offers the same physicho-chemical properties as oil-based material.
Both the products are said to be suitable for food contact and for use “on all packaging machines available on the market”, including form-fill-seal and bagmaking equipment.
