In Belgium, Miller Graphics Roeselare has upgraded its flexo platesetting equipment to Esko’s CDI Advance Optics 80, capable of imaging 8m² of plate per hour. The increase in productivity is partly due to improvements in optical technology: a long lasting fibre laser source with good focal depth, and splitting the beam with an acousto-optic modulator. The improved Grapholas software and FlexRip are also said to contribute to improving productivity and ease of use.
