Ensuring 100% defect free substrates

5 November 2009

At ICE 2009, in Munich, this month (24-26 November), Isra Vision will introduce its quality and process management systems, including 100% optical in-line inspection systems for all substrates and materials.

The Smash web inspection system can be used to detect substrate issues during extrusion or coating. Plastics film can be inspected for holes, contamination or any other issue that will degrade its barrier qualities.

PrintStar is an ‘intelligent’ inspection system for roll-to-roll packaging converters. With any number of cameras, it can run at any speed, while still using the golden master inspection on the complete web. It includes ColorWatch to enable the operator to verify that colour does not vary during a run; PrintTrack to provide repeat to repeat measurement and to monitor press and material metrics; QuickProof, a proofing system that ‘guarantees production matches the customer order’; and MultiView, which verifies the integrity of added value processes such as embossing, varnish or coatings.

RewindManager is a technology that can be used to extend the Smash or PrintStar systems to automate the removal of waste in the finishing department.

Isra Vision’s stand at ICE will be W13, in Hall 1.
