Enhanced Phoenix spurs Sonic’s growth

US based Sonic Solutions says strong fourth quarter sales have been fuelled by increased market awareness of its Phoenix Series of ultrasonic anilox cleaning systems.

Company president Joe Walczak, affirms: "Sales are up almost 25% compared with previous quarters, and a lot of our new business is due to our enhanced Phoenix Series. Labelexpo in September was a tremendous show for us, and since the show we've really kept up the momentum."

Enhancements to the Phoenix Series were made based upon customer feedback, and the anilox cleaning system has been refined and tailored to meet the evolving needs of the flexo industry. New features include a safer level of ultrasonics - 68 kHz - which allows smaller bubbles to get into the smaller cells of today's higher line count anilox rolls.

In addition, the power generators have been modified to become external, interchangeable and easily replaceable. Safety has also been addressed through fixed thermostat settings and a low level automatic shut-off feature.

Fully customisable, the Phoenix anilox cleaning system can now accommodate rolls of any size. "No anilox roll is too large for Sonic Solutions," boasts Walczak. "From three inches to 10 feet, from one roll to eight rolls at a time, we can customise a system to meet specific needs. And we'll do it economically."
