In a recent development to the flexo folder gluers built by Sweden’s Emba Machinery, the 170 QS (Quick-Set) can now be equipped with an optional creasing station and a downstacker, to meet the increased demand for shelf ready packaging. These features are also available as upgrades for existing machines. In another advance, the ‘flagship’ 245 QS model is now available as a completely servo driven machine - the 245 QS Ultima. The company has also created a support programme for its customers. This ‘Comfort Programme’ covers four areas: Original Parts, Professional Service, EMBA Academy training and the EMBA Upgrade Programme. The upgrade programme implements the latest technical developments in the customer’s existing machines. “Regardless of the age of the machine, the goal is to improve the customer’s product quality and productivity,” the company states. Important areas that can easily be improved include machine control, feed accuracy, print, slotting, diecut register and folding tolerances.
