In Germany, leading manufacturer of quality assuring systems for the web processing industries BST International has purchased the entire shares of eltromat, specialist in video and inspection systems, colour and register control solutions for inline printing processes.
The acquisition makes the international BST group a leading technology supplier of all quality assurance and production optimisation requirements for the web processing industries.
"Through the merger, we can focus even better on our customer requirements and reduce time-to-market for new solutions," affirms BST CEO Uwe Meyer. "Whether extrusion, packaging production, hygiene industry or tyre manufacturing, BST and eltromat were very good as single players - but now merged to BST eltromat we become the key market and technology leader."
Meyer is now CEO at BST eltromat, while former eltromat CEO Dr Gunter Tautorus and Dr Johann-Carsten Kipp are now have the commercial (CFO) and technical management (CTO) roles. Former BST sales manager Kristian Jünke completes the new management team as deputy manager/head of sales & service.
