Elite Cameron slitters see ‘record sales’

25 June 2010

TS Converting Equipment has supplied a fourth high speed, customised slitter to the PSG Group in London, UK. The latest CW800 machine is equipped with a Vetaphone, two-side corona treatment unit and was installed in PSG’s class 8 cleanroom.

"In the current volatile PET marketplace, we are doing everything we can to keep fluid and consistent supply of window patching films into our customers,” states PSG Managing Director Lawrence Gardezi. “The introduction of the latest Elite Cameron slitter has enabled us to supply new grades of single and double-side treated films on very short lead times”

The new machine’s specification is similar to the company’s previous unit, supplied 12 months ago, with a 1,600mm web width, 800mm rewind diameter, laser core and knife positioning, differential rewind shafts, razor and shear slitting.

A similar machine has just been supplied to the Platinum Packaging Group, in Los Angeles, USA, and despite the current economical climate, installations of the CW range of machines have reached record levels, according to Elite Cameron Director Tim Self.

“The CW machines offer a real alternative to customers who may have previously considered second hand or Asian sourced equipment”, “They are very competitively priced with all the facilities a customer requires to compete in the market today. Short run, quick turnaround orders are achieved for customers who hold minimal stock levels”
