The EFTA (European Flexographic Technical Association) awards 2010, celebrating the best in flexo print and graphics, took place in Leeds, England, last month. From over 400 entries, the judges unanimously chose to award Amcor Flexibles Cumbria the Best in Show Trophy for its print of Casino Delice 4 Legume, produced on a Fischer & Krecke press.
Other winners in the competition, now in its 30th year, included Schawk - Repro Company of the Year, Learoyd Packaging - Best Print Off the Shelf, and Best First Time Entrant for Ultimate Packaging.
The Technical Achievement Award went to Chesapeake Labels, for printing what appears to be a holographic design without using holographic foil. Best Small Company this year went to The Cornwallis Co.
