Economical efficiency

17 September 2008

The K2colour-check was designed by Tectonics for narrow and wide web printers who need “an economical but effective tool to check register, print quality and ‘actively’ monitor colour - so if the printer is busy, the system will automatically check colour at full press speed and sound an alarm if it starts to drift out of tolerance”.

The K2colour-check is said to provide excellent high resolution picture quality and “a world-first in our industry - low cost colour monitoring and optional extra of Image Transfer at 22 mbs”. This is achieved with Tectonics’ own embedded implementation of the industry standard 922.10 communications protocol.

This special ‘image transfer’ upgrade allows the print manager, from any nominated PC in his facility, to log into any and every one of his installed K2colour-check/it systems to check the press performance and the quality of the print being produced. The live images received can be stored or shared through the internet or emailed to a customer for sign-off.
