DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers has announced a global price increase of 9 cents per pound on all grades of Elvax resins, effective March 1, 2008, or as contracts allow. The company blames “unprecedented high raw material and energy costs”, as well as continuous strong demand, for the increase which is in addition to the 9 cents per pound price rise implemented on Januart 1, 2008. Specific increases in local currency will be communicated to customers by DuPont P&IP’s regional sales and marketing organizations.
The price rise for Europe is €0.13/kg.
