Duncan Print Group recognized as green champion

The Duncan Print Group has been awarded the ISO 14001 environmental management standard by the UK Advisory Service, ICS Registrars, for its commitment to environmental best practice.

The award follows the Duncan Print Group achieving both the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Council (PEFC) accreditation.

The group has introduced a number of initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of the business. Its environmental programme includes working with suppliers to ensure maximum use of sustainable resources in production.

The print and packaging company is also working on projects with The Carbon Trust and Envirowise to reduce energy consumption and waste, as well as introducing recycling across the business to significantly cut landfill.

Keith Davidson, Duncan Print Group sales director says: “A businesses’ environmental impact is increasingly important to society as a whole and these independent awards are evidence of our commitment to act responsibly.”
