Drytac boosts coating capability

7 July 2009

UK based Drytac Europe has invested £150,000 this year in an advanced pressure chambered doctor blade coating unit from Polytype Converting. Drytac says its combination of high speeds and “faultless“ coat weight variation control wll enable it to surpass its “already high standards of efficiency, quality and production“.

The new unit aids the application of adhesive coatings by forward or reverse gravure methods and is capable of running speeds of up to 300 m/min. It will handle coat weights from 1-40 g/m2 and ensure “ultra-smooth coating“, and is capable of running both water and solvent based adhesive coatings with fully automated adhesive feed and level control..
