Drupa success for Laem System

22 June 2012

Laem System was well pleased with the great number of visitors to its stand throughout the 15 days of the recent Drupa exhibition.

At the show, the company displayed a slitter rewinder featuring full automatic positioning of the slitting heads, automatic motorised displacement of a laser beacon unit for quick core positioning, four rewinding differential shafts for non-stop productions, and an automatic reel extractor that delivers the finished reels onto a fully automatic unloading device.

This device turns 90 degrees and pushes the finished reels to the edge of unloading arms where a robot collects and places them on a pallet. This system also applies barcodes to the finished reels, enabling the customer orders to be managed from the operator panel of the slitter or from a PC and robot palletising them correctly.

The Laem exhibit also demonstrated a Smoov ASRV (Automatic Storage Retrieval Vehicle) that took the pallet of finished reels to a completely automated warehouse, where jumbo rolls were also stored.
