Drupa innovation parc

23 July 2007

Following the successful debut of the drupa innovation parc presented by HP at drupa 2004, Messe Düsseldorf has expanded the concept significantly for drupa 2008. Hall 7 will have over 3,300m2 of space (2004: 800m2) and 160 exhibitors taking part in eight different sectors, each with a highly topical theme revolving around current developments, as well as related fields.

The DIP is claimed to be the world’s largest micro platform for innovative young companies supplying the print and media industry with digital solutions.

“Innovation calls for a special presentation platform at drupa, no matter how big or small an exhibitor is,” says Manuel Matare, drupa project director. “Here, visitors can discover new applications for today and tomorrow, and companies with great ideas can promote them in a perfect environment”.

An extensive programme of events is lined up for the two stages in Halls 7 and 7.1. In 7.1, the activities will primarily focus around JDF applications, while the innovations from all DIP thematic sections will be in Hall 7. Here, international experts will enter into discussions with the audience and present their impressions of the DIP. Tours of the parc are also planned.
