Effective July 1, 2008, Dow Europe is to increase prices by €150 per tonne for all grades of its LDPE and HDPE resins for the Europe, India, Middle East and Africa regions. This is to be implemented over and above the June 1 price increase announcement. Dow states “we need to reflect the reality of the current feedstock cost situation in the price of our product in an effort to partly begin restoring our margins in a time when we are experiencing strong demand”.
