Digital show cancelled

6 December 2012

Messe Düsseldorf has announced that the Digi:media 2013 event, scheduled for April 10-13, will not now take place.

Digi:media was launched in 2011 as a stand-alone trade fair, and in 2012 it was integrated into Drupa as a special edition of Drupa innovation park and Drupa cube. Of the decision to cancel, Messe Düsseldorf states: “Neither the current registrations for technology presentations nor the forecasts in terms of visitor attendance give reason to believe that a sufficient ‘basis for business’ satisfying all parties involved can be expected”.

The organiser says the educational content part for Digi:media 2013, which was developed with committed partners, is ready to be implemented. It is hoped that “individual elements can be realised in the form of a 1-day event in April 2013”.
