Digital label helps lift sales

4 January 2011

In Israel, BH Barcode is boosting its customers’ profits with a range of high quality, digitally printed labels produced on an HP Indigo press ws4500.

BH Barcode installed the press a year ago for the production of labels and barcodes with variable content. In September 2010, it won first prize in the ‘Health and Beauty’ category of the HP Indigo Digital Labels and Packaging Awards Contest.

The winning entry was a ‘simple but innovative’ label design using HP ElectroInk White and a special bronze effect, completed on the Israeli company’s in-house finishing system. The customer reported that sales of the product featuring the new label design had increased by 30%.

“The ws4500 and its ElectroInk liquid ink technology is the only colour process in digital printing that, in my opinion, exceeds the quality and colour range of offset,” says Yaniv Harari, Manager, BH Barcode. “Having this range of colours enables me to offer my customers superior designs and meet their brands’ colour requirements with consistently accurate print.”
